The MMH is an International Exhibition devoted exclusively to Metal Mining, a sector that has become strategic in Europe, Spain, and especially in the Andalusian region, key to the development and consolidation of this economic activity. Celebrated for the first time in 2015 with an important success of participation and visits, and on a biennial basis, it will once again focus exclusively on this activity and will be a benchmark event for the sector. The stage chosen for its celebration is the capital of Andalusia, Seville, which will be transformed again for a few days in the great world showcase of mining.

The second edition of this event will take place in the Palace of Exhibitions and Congresses of Seville (FIBES), Spain, from 17 to 19 October 2017, and will revolve around sustainability, associated with different facets that affect metal mining and other related sectors, such as metallurgy and steel, which have to do with technological advances, environmental protection and improvements in processes and yields, thus increasing efficiency in the extraction and treatment of resources. This initiative aims for the main companies in the metal mining sector around the world to have a meeting place, enjoying at the same time a large exhibition area, a full program of congress content and a very substantial agenda of business relations between all the participants who request it.

The MMH is promoted by the Junta de Andalucía; the Association of Investigative, Extractive, Mining-Metallurgical and Services Transformers, Aminer; the National Confederation of Mining and Metallurgical Businessmen, CONFEDEM; the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs, FEDEME; the Official College of Engineers of Minas del Sur; and the Official College of Technical Engineers and Degrees in Mines and Energy.
